ive managed to do this with 105hp monk using mystic regeneration but its tough compared normal mode cos now the corsair cutthroats have "You're All Alone!", and the weakness means soa runs out quicker. also i don't have mantra of resolve anymore so i get interrupted sometimes it doesn't take that long to do but guess that necro one sounds like the best so far...just too bad i don't have a necro, yet

edit: ive tried out the monk build a bit more and i can do it fairly easily now, but still once in a while you will get soa interrupted which screws you up. anyway heres the build i use:

soj, soa, ps, mystic regeneration, mending, watchful spirit, blessed aura, balths spirit (yes you really need this much regen)
14 smiting, 13 prot, 13 divine fav, 3 healing, 4 earth (no point having 14 prot as attributes gets reduced by 1 with weakness)

energy regen isn't a problem here its only getting soa back on all the time as it runs out just before it's recharged. so to solve this i use high health regen and everytime just as soa is about to run out cast ps -> soa. your health will drop quickly so ps gives you a small boost of health the split second before soa is recharged. this is easier to do with soj is up, and your more likely to get interrupted when soj is down. anyway 2 soj's and they are all dead apart from 1 or 2 stragglers.

also i notice drops are kinda random, sometimes you get something ridiculous like 2 drops othertimes its like pre update and u get plenty of drops with a couple of golds sometimes.

I must add, I have never used Healing Signet till now on the farm. Actually its quite easy to be interrupted if using it because the commander carries a skill to do so.

for eles just use the normal uw smite build, switching storm djinn's haste with armor of earth..run takes abount 2 min(30-40 sec to kill the corsairs)

just to remember the attributes....illusion 9,ispiration 8,earth 16,energy storage 5(and lol,i just noticed i use 4 air without any air skill :P)

usage:keep always up 4,5,7,8.watch the commander and use av after he use disrupting throw, then ss,stomp,ashock...repeat another time or two at least and they should be dead

a pic:

and btw....still no colossal for me :/

Im fully aware as to how one can solo the first part of Moddok, but I was sorta looking for a build that applied to all corsair groups. not just bandits. Mainly because I heard of a few other places for colossals that drop much more frequently than moddok. (I actually use a dead sword farming build for my warrior to farm that area. I just hav my dunkoro kill himself after the speech starts).

um... why you decline the good captain service? accept his offer and you will get more corsair when they ambush you.

The problem with accepting the offer and going into the cave with him is that his buddies poison and inflict burning on a permanent basis. They degen you to death in a matter of seconds and once you're <50% it's gg due to Final Thrust Spam.

Im fully aware of that. Thats why I dont accept XD. However I need a build for farming in other places besides that. the anti-farming code is gonna catch up to me. (unless somthing happened to it in which I would love to be informed and be elated).

Farmcode is gone. Happened in the big update that also nerfed farming in a whole :P

dajhak has a higher drop rate for colossal, though in HM it is very hard to solo them

I've been successful in normal mode in being able to solo all groups without monks.

but it HM the only one youc an kill at the weaponsmasters because their self heals are adrenline based >_>

Ya. Thats the kind of solo build im lookin for. Solo builds for random corsairs. But not for dajkah. Im fully aware of the high drop rate, but I was thinkin of soloing zhelon reach in HM. The corsairs there had a good drop rate of colossals in normal and I imagin its absolutely huge in HM. And no only even suspected farming there.

Since you have to bring dunkoro anyway, wouldn't it just make things easyer to have him be a heavy bonder? Granted i know your going to be splitting drops with him, but i like a farm more for consistancy. If i do a farm where death is more of a possibility than the prize, then i'll just go find another farm.

no its really easy, a monkey can solo HM corsairs in the start of moddok.

use this build

VwK, vengeful weapon, dolyak, watch yourself, shield stance, bonetti's, healing sig, cyclone axe.

I run 12 tact 12 restore and rst in axe or str if you want to bring enraging charge.

Its simple use shield stance right after u decline, this will allow you to gain dis between u and henchies/dunk
right b4 shield stance ends cast VwK
once VwK ends put up shield again and use cyclone axe... spam vengeful when ever needed.

Only use cyclone when u have shield stance up, or you'll be spiked by a ton of counter attacks followed by final thrusts..

If VwK is interrupted get the stances up and use healing sig.

oh yah u can keep pulling them further if u wish

Actually. I use my dead sword (slave spirit if u wanna call it that) build for soloing Moddok.

executioners strike
cyclone axe
triple chop
flail
vigorous spirit
dolyak signet
live vicariously
balthazars spirit

I NEVER run out of energy and I can kill ANY melee based group. problem is I hate the fact that drops are proportional to party size >.> Just found that out and i am NOT happy. Personally I just give dunkoro a necro secondary and hav him go in there with lots of blood skills. Then I flag him, start talking, and hav him kill himself. BUT I STILL NEED A BUILD FOR ALL CORSAIRS. lol

A solo build for all corsairs will be pretty hard. Their monks heal like a god and kites like mad.

Nonetheless:
A very crude first build for the cave in hard mode, WIP with no fine tweaking done. It's slow, it's ugly, it kills the corsairs. Simply something to start from:

Energy Boon
Sliver Armor
Armor of Earth
Aftershock
Kinetic Armor
Stoneflesh Aura
Mystic Regeneration
Earth Attunement

Put enough points so Regen gives +3 and then put one more point to factor in weakness. Run in, kill the Captain, then back off to pile them up (and to get them out of the Mandragor Range). Cast Sliver Armor and Aftershock whenever you're ready, keep up your enchantments, tap Energy Boon whenever you need it and before you know it, they're dead.
